Women’s Annual Exam
Your health matters in every season of life.
An annual exam is more than a check-up — it’s your time to be truly heard, cared for, and empowered to make the best choices for your health. At Her Health Gynecology, we provide comprehensive well woman visits in a welcoming, unhurried setting so you can leave feeling confident, informed, and supported.
Who Should Schedule an Annual Exam?
You may benefit from a yearly well woman visit if you:
Are due for a Pap smear or cervical cancer screening
Have questions about your menstrual cycles or menopause
Want to discuss birth control or family planning
Need breast, pelvic, or abdominal health checks
Are looking for guidance on nutrition, supplements, or hormone balance
What to Expect
1. Conversation First
We start by talking — about your health, life changes, concerns, and goals. This is your time to share what’s on your heart and mind.
2. Comprehensive Exam
Depending on your needs, this may include breast and pelvic exams, a Pap smear, and screenings based on your age and risk factors.
3. Preventive Testing
If needed, we’ll order labs or imaging. Many patients use insurance for these services.
4. Personalized Plan
You’ll leave with clear recommendations — whether that’s lifestyle guidance, supplements, further testing, or treatment.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How often should I have a Pap smear?
A: Most women need a Pap smear every 3–5 years, but recommendations vary based on age and history. We’ll review your individual needs at your visit. Some women like to have it annually, and that is fine!
Q: Can I discuss other issues during my annual exam?
A: Absolutely. We welcome your questions and can address other concerns. Some concerns may need more time, in that case we will recommend a longer visit to ensure you have the time you need!
Q: Is this visit covered by insurance?
A: We are a fee-for-service practice for visits, but you can often use insurance for labs, outside imaging, and outside prescriptions.
